Scrappy SurPlus

This is the most playful fun quilt I’ve made. It has “Strip Chunks” (low volume strip borders), Terry Rowland blocks and Plus Blocks. There’s a free pattern for the plus blocks, they finish at 3″, as do the Terry Rowland blocks. The Strip Chunks finish at 3″ wide. In the video below I explain how to make the components of this quilt – included is how you can get the free pattern for the Plus Blocks. In the video description you’ll find a quilt diagram that should tell you everything you need to finish the quilt top assuming you watched the video. So so fun!

I asked for viewers to suggest a name for this quilt, in the end the winning name was “Scrappy SurPlus”.

You know how sometimes a quilt tells you where it needs to go (even though you were planning to keep it)? That happened with this one, my mom already has a quilt I made, but my stepdad does not, so Scrappy SurPlus lives with him now.
