Oldest Surviving Quilt
The oldest known surviving quilt (shown in photos below) is Russian, a quilted linen carpet found in a Mongolian cave dating back to 100 B.C.E. and 200 C.E.
The earliest hint of quilting was around 3400 B.C., an ivory figure of an Egyptian pharaoh wearing what looks like a quilted mantle.
