Louisiana Block Quilt Block Pattern

This traditional quilt block pattern includes 3″ (FPP), 6″ and 9″ instructions (finished sizes).

There are 50 state quilt blocks, this is the official block for Louisiana. The Louisiana Block was created when readers of Hearth and Home magazine mailed in blocks representing their home states. The magazine published the blocks from about 1907 to 1912. So, this block is over 100 years old.
